Dr. Abraham Hodgson is the director of the Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service, a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a part time lecturer at the School of Public Health. From 2001 to 2011 he was the director of the Navrongo Health Research Centre. His research interests are in the area of infectious diseases. He has been involved in a number of epidemiological studies and has led a number of intervention studies including clinical trials on meningococcal meningitis vaccines.
Abraham holds an MPH from the University of Ghana School of Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Basel, Switzerland. He has over 100 publications to his credit in international peer reviewed journals in the areas such as meningitis, malaria, and diarrhoeal diseases.
